Overview

Al-Imam Al-Tirmidhi is a historical Islamic drama series that brings to life the story of the ninth-century hadith scholar Abu Issa Muhammad ibn Issa al-Tirmidhi, one of the great authorities of Islamic religious science. The series follows his tireless journeys across the Islamic world — from Central Asia to the Arabian Peninsula — as he traveled vast distances to collect, verify, and authenticate the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad. Through his encounters with scholars, students, and the communities he passed through, the show illuminates the rigorous intellectual tradition that underpinned early Islamic hadith scholarship and established al-Tirmidhi as one of the foundational figures of the classical Islamic canon.
