Overview
El Alma Basha is an Egyptian comedy of errors in which a country's leader orders his government to summon the distinguished scientist Soska to help solve pressing national problems. A simple mix-up of names sends officials chasing the wrong person — and they end up bringing in Soska the dancer instead. The resulting chaos, as the dancer finds herself thrust into the halls of power completely out of her depth, drives a series of hilarious situations. The film is a sharp and playful satire of bureaucracy, incompetence, and the absurdities of officialdom.
