
An Egyptian singer and actress, born in Alexandria on February 16, 1916. She began her artistic activity singing in the twenties, and in the mid-thirties she worked in cinema and theatre. Her films include (Dr. Farhat) in 1935, (Black and White) in 1936, (A Night in the Life) in 1937, and (Youm of Departure) in 1938, and one of her most famous songs is (O Mahala, the space in the stillness of the night). And (Why is your time always treacherous, and your soul is dry, and your bliss is fire), and (Long live you, you who miss me), and (I am enchanted by your light, O moon) and (Oh, the place of love and its life). She can be seen in the role of Zuzu, the playful singer, in the movie (Al-Ezz Bahdala) in 1937, and in the role of the singer Yasmina, the wife of Azouz (Hassan Saleh), in the movie (The Gendarmerie) in 1936.
