Shahrazad

An Egyptian actress and singer, whose real name is Shafiqa Muhammad Al-Sayyid, she was born on January 8, 1928 in Cairo. The artist Shahrazad began her artistic career in the forties of the twentieth century, and her first appearance was in 1942, where the artist Shahrazad played a good role in the movie Ibn Al-Balad, which starred the artist Mahmoud Zulfikar. One of the most prominent landmarks in the history of the artist Shahrazad and her artistic career is the wonderful romantic dramatic film Zeinab, which starred the artist Yehia Shaheen and the artist Raqia Ibrahim. During her artistic life, the artist Shahrazad dealt with many composers, most notably the wonderful composer Baligh Hamdi, the artist Kamal Al-Taweel, and the talented Muhammad Al-Muji. The artist Shahrazad left our world after a journey full of wonderful works on the personal and artistic levels. She spent nearly half a century advancing art in all its authenticity. She presented nearly three hundred songs between emotional, social, and patriotic, until the artist Shahrazad died on April 6, 2013. The artist Sheherazade participated in the operetta (The Good Ten) by Sayed Darwish for three months Sheherazade learned to play the oud from her husband, Mahmoud Ramzy, who played the cello Kawkab Al-Sharq Umm Kulthum said about her: “No woman pleases me except Scheherazade, and among men is Muhammad Qandil.”
