She grew up with her two sisters, “Wafa” and “Samiha,” in Akef’s circus, singing and dancing together, and their nickname was “Baghdadi Sisters.” Nawal acted with Naima Akef in the movie “Baba Aris” in 1950 and played the role of her younger sister, Nadia. She also acted with her in the movie “Farjat” in 1951. She participated with her sisters Samiha and Wafaa in the movie “Love and Humanity” in 1956, in which she played the role of Nousa, the daughter of Hayes’s cousin (Abdul Salam al-Nabulsi).
