An Egyptian actress and dancer, born in 1919 in Cairo. She is the first dancer from the Badia girls to go to cinema. She appeared in about 42 films. Her first appearance was in 1935 in the film The Gatekeeper of Architecture, and the last film she made was the film Brides at the Auction in 1955. She devoted herself to artistic work and dancing after her marriage to the athlete and artist Mukhtar Hussein. Her daughter, journalist Bahira Mukhtar, died on August 31, 2001, at the age of 82.
