
He was born in the Bab al-Sharia neighborhood. His father, Sheikh Muhammad Abu Issa, worked as a muezzin and reciter at the Sayyid al-Shaarani Mosque in Bab al-Sha'ariya, and his mother was Fatima Hijazi, who gave birth to three sons, including Muhammad and two daughters> Muhammad Abdel Wahhab joined the book of the Sidi Shaarani Mosque in order to later study at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, according to his father’s wishes. He memorized several parts of the Holy Qur’an before neglecting his education and becoming attached to singing and singing. Muhammad joined the Oriental Music Club (currently the Arab Music Institute) after the family’s approval, which initially objected. He began his artistic career by singing in one of the bands, Mr. Abdul Rahman Rushdi Al-Lawyer’s band. He worked as a teacher of songs at Al-Khazindar School, at the same time he was studying at the institute. Muhammad Abdel Wahab performed many songs with his own voice, and most of his melodies were by others, such as Umm Kulthum, Abdel Halim Hafez, Laila Murad, Fayza Ahmed, Najat Wardah, and in addition to composing and singing, Abdel Wahab acted in seven films, including The White Rose and Long Live Love. He worked in the film Ghazal El Banat, the film Ghazal El Banat, the film Black Candles, the film The Impossible, and the film A Bullet in the Heart.
