
Director and screenwriter Kamel Al-Tilmisani was born in the town of Nawa in the Qalyubia Governorate. After completing basic education, he joined the College of Veterinary Medicine, but he did not complete his studies in medicine, as his passion for art was intense, so he began to devote himself completely to studying his hobbies in drawing and photography. Al-Tilmisani was able to study all doctrines and ideas in the English, French, and Arabic languages. He participated in holding many art exhibitions, and began to get to know a group of avant-garde artists such as: George Henein and Ramses Younan, who later founded the “Art and Freedom Group”. Then his star shone in the world of art and writing, where he held several exhibitions that achieved great successes. In 1943, he joined the Misr Studio and began... He began his cinematic career by working as an assistant in directing, editing and production. He also began writing for cinema, and in 1960, Kamel al-Tilmisani left his country in bitter and difficult circumstances, after being tried on a false charge. This made him immigrate to Lebanon, where he began his life again, and after suffering, he was able to carve out a prominent place for himself in Lebanese artistic circles and achieve Many successes in cinema.
