
An Egyptian actor who began his artistic activity in the twenties, in the beginnings of Egyptian silent cinema. He participated in acting in the short film “The Bashkatib,” filmed and directed by Mohamed Bayoumi in 1924. He played in cinema the roles of the local man, the teacher, and the coffee shop owner. His films include “Jawhara” 1943, “Martyrs of Love” 1944, and “Good Luck” 1945. He can be seen in the role of teacher Shabak the cobbler in the 1939 film “Al-Azima”.
