An Egyptian director and author, he loved writing poetry, which he began writing when he was fifteen years old. He published several collections, including “Shabab al-Omar.” He began his professional life as a newspaper editor, working in the newspapers “Al-Jihad,” “Kawkab Al-Sharq,” and “Al-Latif Al-Musawwarah.” He then edited Al-Arousa magazine in 1935, after which he formed a film production company. He also headed to writing stories, and worked as an assistant with director Ibrahim Lama. His first work was the film “Qais and Laila” in 1939, which He wrote it and acted in it, and his works continued after that, in which he participated, whether by writing, directing or producing. Among his most prominent works are (Al-Bayout Asrar, Laila Bint Al-Shati, Ahl Al-Hawa), and he passed away in 1978.
