Adel Al Mehelmi

Adel Al-Muhailami obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Dramatic Arts, Acting Department, in 1955. He is a member of the National Theater and participated in many classic and international plays at the National Theater, including “Shams Al-Nahar” by Tawfiq Al-Hakim, “The Barber of Baghdad” by Alfred Faraj, “Bilad Barrah” by Nouman Ashour, and “My Homeland of Akka” by Abdel Rahman Al-Sharqawi. He also participated in many television and radio series and cinematic films, and one of his most important roles was the role of the lineman, the criminal of Upper Egypt, in the series “Fugitive from the Days.” He was distinguished by his ability to embody the Upper Egypt, rural, and historical roles with the same skill with which he embodies modern roles, especially the roles of the policeman and the prosecutor, such as the role of the rural student who is linked in a love story with an aristocratic girl (Laila Taher) in the film “Don’t Extinguish the Sun” in 1961, directed by Salah Abu Seif. He died on June 22, 2001.
