Jamil and Hanaa's Diaries is an Arabic comedy series built around the paradoxical marriage of Jamil Al-Homsi, a man so shy around women that his wife Hanaa has never once felt a twinge of jealousy. Stung by her indifference, Jamil embarks on a series of increasingly elaborate schemes designed to provoke her attention and stir some competitive feeling in her heart. Each plan backfires spectacularly, landing him in comedic predicaments of his own making. The series finds humor in the gap between what Jamil wants his marriage to look like and the reality his own personality keeps creating.
