Overview

Yom Asal w Yom Basal is an Egyptian comedy series about two best friends who compound their lives by marrying two sisters. Seven years on, the honeymoon is a distant memory and routine has settled like dust over both households. Bored and restless, the two men resolve to shake up their family lives and rediscover the spark that marriage has gradually extinguished. Their attempts to break the mould land them in a series of comic situations that playfully expose the universal tensions of long-term relationships — the gap between expectations and reality, the comfort of familiarity versus the itch for something new, and the particular comedy of people who know each other too well.
