Ticket to Jerusalem, is a 2002 Palestinian movie, directed by Rashid Masharawi, and starring Areen Omari, Gassan Abbas. George Ibrahim.
Ticket to Jerusalem is an inspired Palestinian hybrid of documentary and fiction that follows Jabir, who runs a mobile cinema from his battered truck across the villages of the West Bank, bringing film to communities that have little access to it. His wife, meanwhile, dedicates herself to providing emergency medical care to Palestinians. When a spirited schoolteacher invites Jabir to screen a film in the Old City of Jerusalem, the idea becomes an obsession — a pilgrimage of sorts — and he begins investigating whether such a journey is even possible. The film is a lyrical meditation on culture, resistance, and the enduring human need for storytelling under occupation.
