Overview

The Incident is a Lebanese drama-thriller set at a bus stop near Beirut, where a veiled Lebanese woman and a migrant Syrian worker are caught in an ambiguous confrontation that quickly leads to their arrest. With no surveillance footage and no neutral observers, they must defend themselves before the only witnesses on the scene: a busload of women returning from Koranic school, each of whom holds a different version of events. A taut, socially observant film that interrogates questions of identity, prejudice, and the subjective nature of truth in contemporary Arab society.
