I have lived in absence twice, is a 2011 Algerian movie, directed by Drifa Mezenner. with a runtime of 24 minutes.
Drifa films the weight of her brother Sofiane’s absence, who left Algeria illegally for England in 1992. She tells of a neglected present and a repressed past — of absence, and of the inner exile endured by those who remained behind, waiting.
