Sekket Safar (Travel Route) is an Egyptian social drama about the perils of returning home with success. After five years working abroad in an Arab country, Zaghloul comes back to his hometown a changed man — wealthier than anyone expected and ready to marry his cousin and settle down. But his homecoming stirs envy in Sheikh Tawfiq, a scheming figure who cannot bear to see Zaghloul's prosperity and begins plotting to seize his hard-earned wealth. The series explores the corrosive power of greed and jealousy within tight-knit communities, and the way money can transform neighbors and relatives into rivals overnight.
