El Motaleqat Wil Zeaab is an Egyptian drama series that follows Madiha, a determined woman who files for divorce after her gambler husband steals her jewellery and squanders it at the tables. As she fights for her dignity, she crosses paths with the owner of a computer company — but her estranged husband refuses to go quietly, threatening her and stealing her furniture before dying in a car accident. In the aftermath, Madiha discovers that the man she believed was interested in her is actually in love with her younger sister Rasha. Running parallel is another story of a woman whose husband is plotting to leave her, weaving together a pointed social drama about divorced women, predatory men, and the difficult road to freedom.
