Return to Homs, is a 2013 Syrian movie, directed by Talal Derki, and starring abdolbaseit al sarut. with a runtime of 87 minutes.
Return to Homs is a Syrian documentary film directed by Talal Derki, filmed over three extraordinary years inside the besieged city of Homs. The film follows two remarkable young men: Basset, a 19-year-old national football team goalkeeper who transforms into a protest leader, then a revolutionary icon, and finally an armed militia commander; and his friend Ossama, 24, a well-known citizen journalist and principled pacifist whose views are progressively forced to evolve — until he is arrested by military intelligence. Together their stories tell the story of an entire city, and of a generation whose dreams of freedom were consumed by war. A deeply human epic filmed at enormous personal risk, Return to Homs stands as one of the defining documentary records of the Syrian uprising.
