Before the Summer Crowds is an Egyptian romantic drama set in the tranquil off-season atmosphere of a North Coast resort. Dr. Yahya chooses to spend a quiet holiday with his wife Magda before the summer rush descends. There, the couple meets Hala — a recently divorced translator raising two children on her own. The chance encounter draws three very different lives into orbit around each other, as the stability of Yahya and Magda's marriage quietly contrasts with Hala's solitary effort to rebuild. The film unfolds with gentle tension beneath its sun-drenched surface.

Starring Maged el Kedwany, Hana Sheha, Ahmed Dawood, Lana Mushtaq and Hany El Metennawy, it premiered at the 12th Dubai International Film Festival in 2015. It was then selected to represent Egypt in the 5th Luxor African Film Festival in March 2016 before commercial release in Egyptian cinemas in April and rollout to Iraq, Tunisia and the UAE in May.
