Overview
Decor is an Egyptian psychological drama that blurs the boundary between reality and imagination. Maha, a set designer with a deep passion for classic Egyptian cinema — particularly the films of Faten Hamama — suddenly finds herself lost between two parallel lives she cannot distinguish: in one, she is a wife and mother living in Alexandria with her husband Mostafa, played by Maged El Kedwany; in the other, she is a creative partner to her husband Sherif in the film industry, portrayed by Khaled Aboul Naga. As Maha spirals deeper into confusion, the film becomes a meditation on identity, desire, and the thin line between the worlds we live in and the ones we construct in our minds. A visually rich, emotionally layered work that pays homage to the golden age of Arabic film.
