Nnuba is a documentary portrait of a centuries-old women's collective in North Africa whose name means 'each in turn' in the Tamazight (Amazigh) language. Under this long-standing self-help tradition, the women of the village take turns grazing the community's cattle — a rotating act of shared labor that has bound generations of women together. As they tend their herds, the women share songs, confide secrets, recite poems, and exchange laughter and tears, revealing a rich inner world of Amazigh feminine solidarity. The film captures pastoral life in all its rhythmic, communal beauty.
