Overview

September Rain is an Egyptian social drama film that follows a widowed father and his five children as they navigate poverty, ambition, and unexpected disruption in their working-class Cairo household. Three of the sons find escape in music and performing at local celebrations; one pursues education and falls in love with a girl from a wealthier family; and another stays close to his father selling watermelons in the street.
