200 Meters is a powerful Palestinian drama film that places the separation wall at the heart of a deeply human story. Mustafa and his wife Salwa live in neighboring Palestinian villages separated by only 200 meters — yet the wall between them defines every aspect of their daily lives. When their son is suddenly involved in an accident and Mustafa is denied passage through the checkpoint due to a bureaucratic fingerprint issue, the desperate father is forced to hire a smuggler to reach his injured child. What should be a two-minute journey becomes a grueling 200-kilometer odyssey alongside other travelers determined to cross the barrier. The film is a visceral portrait of how political division fractures ordinary family life.
Filmed in: Tulkarm.
