Maryam is a Gulf drama series that showcases Haifa in a challenging dual role as identical twins whose lives could not be more different. The first twin, Maryam, lost her ability to speak following the trauma of her father's death in a car accident, and now navigates a troubled marriage under enormous emotional strain. The second, Malak, is a sharp and driven businesswoman who approaches Nadim — played by Khaled Al Nabawi — as part of a campaign for his farm enterprise. The series uses the twin device to explore contrasting female experiences: vulnerability and power, silence and agency, grief and ambition. A quietly absorbing drama carried by strong central performances.
