مملكة الحجاز. is a 2020 Qatari movie.
"The Kingdom of Hejaz"...a documentary produced by Arab Television tells the story of the end of the Hashemite rule of Hejaz at the hands of the ruler of Najd, Abdul Aziz bin Saud, which paved the way for the establishment of the Saudi state. The film presents a comprehensive and rare account of the story of the invasion of Abd al-Aziz bin Abd al-Rahman bin Saud and his army from the “Brothers of God” group of Hejaz, which resulted in the fall of the historical Hashemite rule of Hejaz and the abdication of Sharif Hussein bin Ali from power before his departure from Mecca. The film also explores rare historical documents that reveal the British role in supporting Bin Saud at the expense of Sharif Hussein Bin Ali after the latter refused to accept British demands related to the borders after the Sykes-Picot Agreement, in addition to his rejection of the Balfour promise to the Jews of a homeland in Palestine. The documentary begins its narration from the time Sharif Hussein bin Ali took over the rule of the Hijaz, through the Arab revolution against Ottoman rule during World War I, all the way to the fall of the Hashemite rule at the hands of Ibn Saud, the ruler of Najd, and his army. The film deals with Abdul Aziz bin Saud’s promises to the Hijazians to freely choose who would rule them under Islamic supervision, before he broke this promise and declared himself king of Najd and the Hijaz and then established the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
