Overview

Freedom Fields is a deeply moving documentary following a group of Libyan women united by a single dream: to play football for their nation. Set against the turbulent backdrop of post-revolution Libya and the unraveling of the Arab Spring's utopian promise, the film asks whether their dream can survive as the country descends into civil war. Through the personal stories of these accidental activists, Freedom Fields becomes a poignant portrait of hope, sacrifice, and resilience in a land where even dreaming feels like a luxury.
