Overview
Tumbledown is an Egyptian romantic drama film set in Cairo, following Shadia as she prepares to marry her fiancé Saeed. When a devastating earthquake strikes the city and their home collapses, Saeed abandons Shadia and flees to safety — leaving her at the mercy of fate. It is his friend, a singer, who steps forward to rescue her when no one else does. The film uses the chaos of natural disaster as a backdrop to examine courage, loyalty, and the true character that emerges when people are stripped of all pretense.
