Cabareeh is an Egyptian social drama that unfolds over the course of a single night inside a Cairo nightclub inherited by its deeply religious owner, played by Salah Abdallah, from his late father. The film is a rare ensemble piece featuring more than twenty prominent Egyptian stars, including Khaled El Sawy as an opportunistic singer, Hala Fakher as an Arab producer, and Ahmed Badir as a waiter who prays between shifts on the cabaret floor. Through clever flashback sequences, the story weaves together contrasting social archetypes — all of whom work or frequent the club — exposing the contradictions, ambitions, and moral tensions lurking beneath the surface of Egyptian society.
