Overview

Index is a drama short film that compresses the harrowing experience of a refugee family into a single, unbearable moment. Dana is on the run with his family, and the boat that will smuggle them to Europe is ready to leave. But his son Alan refuses to come out of the truck, and as the seconds count down, panic overtakes Dana — forcing him to confront a terrible choice that no parent should ever have to make. Shot with quiet intensity, the film strips the refugee crisis down to its most human and devastating core: a father, a child, and an impossible decision with no good outcome.
