Overview

Halfway is an innovative documentary blending photographs, social media messages, and animated segments to tell the story of the Abu Haidar family, caught in a state of perpetual in-between. The film's layered visual approach mirrors the family's experience of suspension and displacement, exploring the emotional and cultural tensions of belonging to two worlds at once. A thoughtful and formally inventive work, it sheds light on a deeply human story of identity, migration, and the longing for a place to call home.
