The Road to Palestine, is a 1985 Palestinian movie, directed by Layaly Badr. with a runtime of 7 minutes.
The Road to Palestine is a short documentary by Palestinian filmmaker Layaly Badr, following seven-year-old Layla, who was seriously wounded in an air raid and now lives in a refugee camp outside Palestine. Together with her childhood friends — none of whom have ever seen their homeland — Layla describes how she imagines Palestine: its colors, sounds, and landscape assembled entirely from stories, inherited memory, and longing. The film listens closely to children's voices to craft a quietly devastating portrait of displacement, in which the idea of Palestine is more vivid than the place itself, passed down through generations who have never walked its ground.
