Overview
Ghaltet Ab is an Egyptian drama film built around a father's long-buried secret. Years ago, a man of literary and social standing fathered an illegitimate child, Souad, and abandoned her to protect his reputation. Souad grows up to become a nightclub singer, unaware of the full story of her origins. When the club's manager discovers the truth, he weaponizes the secret, threatening to expose the father unless he pays handsomely for his silence. Trapped between his past and present, the father must reckon with the consequences of a cowardly choice made long ago — while Souad pays the human cost of a life built on his lie.
