Fissures, is a 2009 Moroccan movie, directed by Hicham Ayouch, and starring Abdeslam Bounouacha, Noureddine Denoul, Marcela Moura. with a runtime of 75 minutes.
Fissures is a Moroccan drama film set across one feverish night in the labyrinthine streets of Tangiers. Abdelsellem has just been released from prison, and his friend Nourredine is waiting outside to celebrate his freedom. What starts as a night of reunion takes a dark turn when the two encounter Marcela, a Brazilian woman with extreme and suicidal tendencies, who pulls them inexorably into her world. Together, the three plunge deeper into the city's underworld — crossing paths with glue-sniffers, undocumented migrants, and the forgotten margins of society — as the night spirals toward what feels like descent into hell. The film uses the geography of Tangiers as a moral landscape, a city of narrow passages and no easy exits.
