Where Are You Going, Moshe? is a Moroccan comedy set in the early 1960s, when the newly independent nation saw many of its Jewish citizens quietly departing for Palestine. In the small town of Bejjad, the Jewish community conspires with their rabbi to make a secret exit. But the local bar owner, Mustapha, faces ruin: Moroccan law will force him to close his establishment if all non-Muslims leave. His solution is both comic and cunning — he must persuade at least one Jew to stay. A warm, witty film that captures a forgotten chapter of Moroccan Jewish-Muslim coexistence.
