Elektra is a Lebanese experimental drama unfolding inside the ruined shell of Beirut's historic Piccadilly Theatre, a space left desolate by decades of war. Over the course of three intense days, a writer and a group of actors attempt to breathe life back into the ghostly building by staging Sophocles' Elektra. But the artistic project conceals darker undercurrents: the writer must confront the duplicity and contempt of her two-faced collaborators, whose waking hours bleed into vivid, unsettling dreams. The film draws a provocative parallel between the Greek myth's themes of betrayal and justice and the fractured realities of contemporary Beirut.
