Perfect Strangers is an Arabic social thriller adapted from the acclaimed Italian film of the same name. During what begins as an ordinary dinner party among close friends, everyone agrees to a daring social experiment: leave their phones unlocked on the table, with all messages, calls, and notifications shared openly. What follows is an escalating unraveling of hidden lives, secret relationships, and carefully guarded lies as each notification chips away at the carefully constructed personas around the table. Tense, intimate, and sharply written, the film is a powerful examination of modern relationships, trust, and the private worlds we conceal even from those closest to us.
Perfect Strangers is a 2022 Arabic comedy-drama film, produced by Dubai-based Front Row Filmed Entertainment with Yalla Yalla, Beirut-based Empire Entertainment, and Cairo-based Film Clinic. It is an Arab remake of the 2016 Italian film Perfetti sconosciuti, and is the first Arabic-language Netflix original film made purely by Arab production companies. The film was directed and co-written by Wissam Smayra, his debut film in the director's seat, and stars Mona Zaki, Nadine Labaki, Eyad Nassar, Adel Karam, Georges Khabbaz, Diamand Abou Abboud, and Fouad Yammine.
