Overview
Blood on the White Robe is a gripping Egyptian historical drama set in the 1960s. State security officer Fares Riad obeys orders to torture Hassan Fadl, a dissident university student, descending into extreme cruelty that culminates in castration and ultimately the student's death. The crime's consequences rebound on the perpetrator: Fares suffers from sexual impotence that strains his marriage, and his wife — a university professor — gradually uncovers the horrifying truth about the man she married.
