Overview

Beit El Baher is an Arab drama film set over a single night in an architecturally remarkable beach house designed by famed Iraqi architect Refaat Chaderji — a modernist concrete cube suspended over a rocky Mediterranean shore. Four characters from a rudderless Arab generation gather within its walls, their free-flowing conversations and strange behaviors gradually revealing the void at the center of their lives. Written and directed with literary precision, the film is a portrait of intellectual and emotional drift among a generation caught between inherited ideals and contemporary chaos.
