Bil Mishmish is a Kuwaiti comedy series built around a family's long-running domestic dilemma. Years earlier, the family rented out the upper floor of their home; now, with a housing crunch and their children reaching marriageable age, reclaiming that floor has become urgent. First, the family must unite to oust the tenant by any means necessary. But no sooner is that challenge resolved than an internal conflict erupts among the family members themselves, each determined to secure the upper floor for their own use. The series mines its comedy from the sharp shift from family solidarity to family rivalry, painting a warm and sharp-edged portrait of Kuwaiti domestic life.
