Overview

Ezbet Abu Hashish is an Egyptian social action-thriller featuring Sherif Samir in the role of Abdo Al-Muhar, the tough strongman who holds sway over the neighborhood. Rather than presenting the classic villain archetype, the film offers a fresh take on the thug character — a man with a code of honor who stands by the oppressed and uses his power to defend the vulnerable. As Abdo faces a series of gripping events that test his convictions, the film builds tension between street law and personal ethics, delivering an entertaining action drama with a thoughtful social dimension.
