Overview

The Legend of Zeineb and Noah is an Egyptian drama rooted in folklore and the power of belief. Set in a small Egyptian town steeped in myth and superstition, the film follows Zeinab — a young girl who takes her faith in local legends with absolute seriousness. When her mother dies, Zeinab resolves to abduct the body, enlisting the help of Noah, her Christian neighbor, in a desperate escape journey. But what begins as a mission driven by superstition becomes something far more confronting: as Zeinab and Noah flee, the very myths and fears they have always believed in seem to materialize before them, forcing both to reckon with the limits of their convictions. A richly textured film that blends Egyptian rural life with the uncanny.
