Overview

#31# (Unknown Call) is an Algerian experimental film by director Cheikh Morad Djadja, occupying a space between documentary, fiction, and installation art. Set during a night in a post-reconstruction world, the film begins when a masked call triggers a philosophical journey through anonymous, liminal spaces. Djadja navigates an abstract universe of illusory walls and suppressed identities, exploring a coded message rooted in the raï musical and literary tradition. A meditation on trans-identity, collective memory, and the meaning hidden beneath surface communication.
