The artist, Nabawiyah Saeed, was born in the 1920s. She attended an Egyptian school in the heart of the capital. Because of her trembling voice, she joined the radio. She was discovered by director Salah Abu Seif in late 1966, who gave her a small role in the film The Second Wife the following year. She was discovered by director Salah Abu Seif in October 1967 to work with him in the movie “The Second Wife.” Her appearance was small in terms of the number of scenes. She did not work much in the late sixties except in three films during one year, which was 1969 in the films “The Barrier” and “3 Faces of Love, for Married People Only.” In 1970, she worked with the great director Youssef Shaheen in his masterpiece “The Earth,” to play the most important small role in the film, where she is the wife of the struggling farmer Muhammad Abu Suwailem. The artist Nabawiyah Saeed has presented 79 works in drama, cinema and television, and she has worked with many stars in the classics of Egyptian cinema, including: “Mouths and Rabbits” in 1977 with Faten Hamama and Farid Shawqi, “The Sibyl” in 1981 with Madiha Kamel and Omar Khorshid.” At the level of drama, she worked in the series: “There is no god but God, Part 3,” “Saber, Uncle Saber,” “And We Won the Case,” and “Raafat Al-Hagan, Part 1.” Her last television work was the series “The New Street” in 1997, then she moved away from the limelight and returned in her last work ever in 2000 with Nour Al-Sharif and Majed Al-Masry in the movie “Talks in the Forbidden.” Nabawiyya Saeed left a few years later.
