Kanaan Hamad, a Kuwaiti actor and director, was born in the Sharq region of Kuwait in 1945.
He graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in 1977, and remained a member of the Arab Theater Troupe throughout his life. Kanaan Hamad directed and acted in many plays, including: (Husband Wanted Immediately, Lovers of Habiba, Noura, The Journey of Handala, and Madness of Humans). He died in 2003.
