Overview

Al-Insan Huwa Al-Insan (Man Is Man) is a 1973 Kuwaiti television social drama and a rare surviving artifact of Gulf television from that era. The story follows Abu Khaled, a man living in grinding poverty with his elderly mother, whose days are consumed by complaints about his ill fortune and fantasies of becoming wealthy and owning a large company. His journey leads him to a humbling realization: happiness is not something money can buy. Starring Ibrahim Al-Sallal, Maryam Ghadhban, Abdul Majeed Qasim, and Kanaan Hamad, the production was directed by Salah Al-Awri and written by Abdul Mohsen Al-Khalfan. A cornerstone of Kuwaiti social television heritage.
