Egyptian actor and director, born on July 15, 1914. He obtained a diploma from the Institute of Acting, then studied theater directing in London for five years. He then returned to Egypt in 1940. He began his artistic career as an assistant director to a number of directors, including Kamal Selim and Omar Jami, since 1941. He was also an actor and then a theater director. He worked as an assistant production manager for American films: (The Ten Commandments, The Land of the Pharaohs, and My Kingdom for a Woman) He worked as a production manager for many Egyptian films. Since 1942, he wrote a number of stories, scripts, and dialogue for films, including the film Haram al-Pasha in 1946. He died in Paris, of lung cancer, and his funeral was held in Egypt on December 20, 1966
