Donia Abdel Azziz

An Egyptian actress who was born in Syria. Her real name is Donia Abdel Aziz. Her artistic career began when she was a ten-year-old girl after the artist Dalal Abdel Aziz offered to Donia’s mother to participate with her in playing the role of her daughter in the movie (The Struggle of the Wives) with director Nemat Rushdi. This talent was quickly picked up by Mamdouh Al-Laithi and he offered Donia a role in the movie (Personal Status) by director Shafiq Shamiya, then the movie (The Garage), where she played the role of his daughter. Naglaa Fathi won the Performance Award when she was 14 years old at the time. Donia’s artistic career began progressing steadily and successfully, through which she presented many prominent roles in films and series, including: Zainab Al-Daw in the series (Money and Boys), Majboura in (The Wanis Family), Fikra in (Daughters of My Ideas), Hana in (Girls), and the Turkish princess Ahdab in (Faris Belajawad) and Ruwayda in (A Girl from This Time). Souad in (Our Sweet Dreams) and Hoda in (Egyptian Papers), and presented to the cinema the characters of Linda in (A Case of Love), Rasha in (Qasees of Lovers), Dounia in (The Garage), Farida in (Ashtata Ashtot), Hind in (A Difficult Mission), Nawal in (Hanhab and Hanqab), and Basant Ghazal in (Talk to Mama). Donia decided to stop working briefly in order to study at the Higher Institute of Cinema in the Directing Department for four years, then returned to acting again after graduating from the institute.
