Egyptian actor and director. He lived in the Manial neighborhood until the age of fifteen, and studied French until high school. He was surrounded by a cultural and cognitive fabric formed by his father and his friends who were artists, writers, and others. He decided to be a filmmaker and actor, and this was after he was rejected from studying at the Film Institute a few years later, and after achieving many achievements at the republic level for two years in the sport of rowing. He joined the Faculty of Law at Ain Shams University and graduated from it in 2007. Despite this, he never worked in the field of law, and before graduating, he joined the law school. (Al-Tamy Ensemble), an independent theatrical troupe. An actor and an assistant director participated in many performances over a period of three years and more. Meanwhile, he joined the second batch of film school with the Nahda Scientific and Cultural Association and Jesuit Cairo in 2007. Where he learned the low-cost film industry from director Karim Hanafi, who later became his close friend and the director of his first starring role in his film, which they worked on for five years or more (Farewell Gate), which is the film that won the Artistic Contribution Award in Cinematography from the Cairo Film Festival. 2014. At the film school, he worked with ten colleagues on more than 30 completely independent experiments, between one and fifteen minutes, in which a editor, an assistant, a cameraman, and an actor participated. The short feature film (Cake with Cream) was his graduation project in 2008. The film won the appreciation of the jury at the Independent Film Festival in Oran in Algeria, the appreciation of the jury at the Jordanian Short Film Festival, and the Silver Falcon Award at the Arab Film Festival in Rotterdam in the Netherlands. It participated in more than one festival inside and outside Egypt. He participated in several workshops, including the “Self and the City - Cairo” workshop in 2007 in cooperation with the European Union and Simat Company, within which he directed the short documentary film (Zizou). After graduating from film school, he worked with the Center for Refugee and Migration Studies at the American University, and directed for the center the documentary film (To the Sea), and this film participated in the Abu Dhabi International Film Festival 2009. After several experiences and participation in short films and various acting workshops for theater and cinema, he participated in the film (Birds of the Nile) in 2009, which was directed by his father, Magdy Ahmed Ali, and was based on the novel of the same name by the great writer Ibrahim Aslan, and the film received a lot of praise. Awards. The following year, he participated in the film that won many Arab and international awards (Microphone), directed by Ahmed Abdullah. As for television drama, he participated, after which he participated in works including (A Public Secret, Al-Ahed, Al-Daiah, Napoleon and Al-Mahrousa).
