Overview

Tamer and Shawkeya is a light-hearted Egyptian social comedy that asks what happens when two people from entirely different worlds decide to build one life together. Tamer, a sophisticated aristocratic lawyer, and Shawkeya, a down-to-earth schoolteacher of modest means, marry despite the enormous gap between their backgrounds — and quickly discover that love alone cannot paper over the daily collisions of upbringing, habit, and expectation.
